Multiplayer: Interactions with other characters and players.

I decided to add in tag team attacks and actions derived from or based on other sonic games such as, tag actions from Sonic 4 episode 2 like the Rolling Combo and Submarine Combo. The Rolling Combo may be available to Knuckles as well, but otherwise it's exclusive to Sonic and Tails. The Submarine Combo will be available to everyone and it is accessible by simply grabbing on to Tails whilst he is swimming. This also applies out of the water but unlike the Submarine Combo Tails will get tired. I'm also debating on giving Tails a swim cap (not the headwear, I meant stamina.) So people can't just go nuts with it, but I may add some new underwater segments that require Tails to bring people over (especially Sonic) in order to progress. Another thing I'm adding is incapacitation. You see, if multiple people play a speed oriented platforming game in Co-op, someone is bound to lose a life at least once. To counteract that, I'm adding two things, 1. Lives being bound to everyone and everyone must be incapacitated to lose a life. 2. Incapacitation. Essentially, what will happen is if you take damage without any rings, drown, or get crushed, you will be struck unconscious and can no longer move. Now some may think that they can just continue on and complete the level without them, no. Now, everyone must reach the goal to complete the level in story mode. What you'll have to do is go find them and pick them up to either bring them to the goal, or revive them. How? By collecting rings, or touching a 1up container. In order to revive them with rings, one must collect 50 rings (or 100, I'm not sure.) And then spend them. Cream doesn't have to spend as much, only 25 in refrence to her being a support character in Sonic Chronicles. In fact, you will be able to do various POW moves in Sonic Master, but I'm not sure how to do that right now. Oh yeah! Some of you are probably thinking about falling into pits and how other players will get us out from hazards like crushers and spikes. Crushers will have a unique, slightly comical animation of your character, flattened like paper, slowly drifting out of the crusher or moving objects area, then turn to normal, unconscious. Spikes however,is something you'll have to deal with on your own! Falling into pits won't render you unconscious, as luckily Omochao will save the day by bringing you out of the pit and dropping you in a safe location where you'll be dazed and confused for a couple of seconds as penalty. I'm considering a different revival option for drowning, or an alternative, but I'm a bit worried on how we'll make it work, or if people will be fine with it. Basically, I'm thinking about either doing CPR, or sharing air at the cost of your own (possibly subtracting half of your current air amount, which is about 30 seconds) Fun Fact: the countdown does not actually last 5 seconds, it actually last 12. Oh, and none of that applies if Sonic and Cream pair up, because Sonic gains a bubble in that particular matchup and can no longer drown. Why I am worried about people's response towards CPR and Sharing air is their practicality. Basically, do we need that in a speedy game? Thinking about it, I don't think I'm going to put it in since it seems a bit too slow for a Sonic game. But, if people ever want to those in the game, ask and give a reason behind it.

Addition: Better Multiplayer

Remember how it was difficult to connect and play with your friends in the each of the Advance games? I'm making that easier. Now, there shall be Multiplayer Co-op. Players will be able to connect to each other online (I'll find out how to make an online and play story mode together as they go through the games. Bear in mind that Sonic will need to be present for a boss and depending on the game it'll notify you and ask you to change to sonic before you enter the stage. Another thing that I will need people's opinion on is if they want to reset the characters available, to where Sonic is playable from the start of Advance 1 and 2, and Tails as well in Advance 3, but instead of having to watch the others play the characters that are now unavailable from the start will get their own small story to explain why they were there, and some long new levels to try and ensure they don't wait too long before the Sonic and Tails players find them. There will be other things as well but they will be in other posts.

Introduction

If you managed to find this place, hello! Welcome to the "not really side project to learn how to effectively develop and produce a game."

Changing the subject, Sonic Master is not a remake of the Sonic Master System games, rather it's a remake and update of the Advance trilogy that depending on if I can get a team (not worried about copyright like Project Lullaby, but I still want to rebuild the games from the ground up like Christian Whitehead and see if I can even get the actual voice actors to record some stuff for the game.) Like I said before that long parentheses I will likely need a small team (or large, whichever.) To help create this fangame that will otherwise take a long time to do alone.
